After discovering my passion for animals I felt that it was important to discuss this topic because not only are we harming millions of animals across the world, we are also damaging our home planet. From the insane amount of pollutants we put in the air along with the overwhelming waste we throw out without realizing how it damages our lakes, oceans and wild life. I hope my voice is able to help many realize the reality that is happening in our world and begin to see the importance of reducing energy and properly disposing waste by recycling and avoiding products that are damaging to you and our planet. It's been stated many times that we are approaching another mass extinction due to human activity. Since most of the globe is aware of these issues, they have taking hard measures to implement a plan to reduce the amount of carbon emission and also provide a safer way or using energy.
The Paris Climate Agreement was a way to have a mutual goal to eradicate the global carbon emission. Everyone agreed to the agreement besides the United States. The withdrawal gave an overwhelmingly negative output from across the political spectrum, and the decision received substantial criticism from religious organizations, businesses, political leaders, environmentalist, and scientists and citizens from the United States and abroad. This also impacted many artists and supported their ideas of keeping Mother Nature safe. This has also been shown in many movies throughout the years. One movie I believed gave me an emotional look of how humanity might be in the near future. The movie Wall-e was a huge success when it was released back in 2008, but I loved how the producers/directors displayed the planet in abyss after the destruction of man and humans were depicted as lazy, obese people traveling around in hover board chairs. After watching that movie I felt that i had to do something to completely avoid this scary situation. There's many ways you can help the environment and I hope this presentation gave you some courage to start today.
