Flipped Ads

The issue I have created a project on is gun usage/violence. This issue is continuously a topic of discussion. Some of the biggest shootings have occurred in the last 45 years, such as the 2017 Las Vegas shooting that killed at least 59 people and injured 527. Nearly 900 people have died in gun violence since the Las Vegas massacre, according to nydailynews.com. This can be due to how easy it is to get access to a gun in America. My project's goal is to make people think about a world where guns are as simply and easily advertised as products like sneakers, beverages, and makeup. I have distorted already existing advertisements and made them reflect the selling of guns in a normal way. I also utilized Tumblr, a blogging site, as a place to put my artwork. I reblog other content, such as news about gun violence, art humor about gun usage, and pop art that has to do with guns. Tumblr is not only an outlet to put my advertisements on but also a way to possibly get other Tumblr users to come across this issue and even share my artwork.

Do these advertisements look normal to you?
