Media plays a huge part in my life. I am always on my phone. I use Instagram and Twitter the most. Instagram is where I can put my images out for the world to see. Twitter is where I can see funny tweets and be updated about current affairs. I can also have a voice on both outlets and I use it whenever I find something I am passionate about. I would say a lot of me is measured in media examples and images. When you look at my Instagram you can see my interests and certain aspects of my life. I post pictures of myself and show how passionate I am about fashion and the type of style I have. I show the places I like to go to such as museums, restaurants, and other attractions. I love to explore and take photographs. You can see that I also love to edit because I have a common theme on all of my photos. You can also see my family and friends. On twitter you can see the things I find humorous and the things I'm passionate about by my retweets and tweets.
Instagram influences me the most compared to other apps and websites. The photos I see on Instagram influence the type of clothes I want to get and the places I travel to. Although social media takes a lot of my time, I can say that I have experienced more places because I discovered them online. People have also discovered different things because of what I have posted.
I believe that a big part of our common experience involves shared mass media images, events and stories. Just like a lot of my life is shared on social media, a lot of other peoples lives are shared through social media. They are also updated on the news through social media and news is even made from things that happen on social media. Since technology is constantly growing it isn't a surprise that most of the way we share images, events, and stories is through technology. Below are two examples of my relationship to media. I use media to share my experiences.

Twitter is one media outlet I am active on that shows how the media covers activists, acts of resistance, and protests. One highlight of this coverage is the #transmilitaryban hashtag on Twitter. All of Twitter was protesting this possible ban through the hashtag just two months ago. Trump even used Twitter to announce his plan on banning transgender people from serving in the U.S. Military. I believe it isn't right for certain people to make important announcements through social media as if it isn't important. I do think the media has a right to protest online as well as offline. The protests did continue to spread offline and there were protests nationwide.
